Join Collaborative Classroom consultants and Collaborative Literacy teachers, coaches, and administrators from across the Midwest (and beyond!) to explore how partnering with your Collaborative Literacy curriculum can support improvements in practice that lead to student learning and growth.

The Collaborative Literacy Summer Institute: Teaching and Learning with Intention is a three-day event sponsored by Center for the Collaborative Classroom, Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District 191, and Hamline University.

About the Institute

TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY, JUNE 11–12

For all educators (teachers, coaches, and leaders) using or supporting Collaborative Literacy programs

Focus: These two days of professional learning, networking, and collaboration feature a keynote by author Peter Brunn, a panel discussion with district partners sharing implementation stories, and interactive breakout sessions. Topics range from program overviews and tips for getting started to digging deeper into assessment, conferring, small-group instruction, lesson facilitation, and more.

Fee: $79 includes registration and light breakfast & lunch on June 11–12.

Registrants have the opportunity to receive one graduate credit from Hamline University for an additional $75.

THURSDAY, JUNE 13

For administrators, coaches, and literacy leaders who are supporting Collaborative Literacy implementations

Focus: On June 13, learn from other leaders about implementation successes and challenges as you deepen your own understanding and gain valuable tools and resources for supporting Collaborative Literacy in your school or district. Hear how others are transforming instructional leadership in literacy through powerful conversations about coaching, equity, collective efficacy, and more.

Fee: $49 includes registration, light breakfast, and lunch on June 13.
