SESSION 2: Coaching Collaborative Literacy

Learn how to leverage coordinating elements and community building across programs to support the implementation of Collaborative Literacy. You’ll leave the session with a variety of tools and resources to support your work as coach.

SESSION 3: Coaching K–2 Teachers to Engage in Data Analysis and Group for Small-group Reading Instruction

October 2, 2018
4:00–5:00 PM Eastern Time

Learn how to coach K–2 teachers to make strategic placement and grouping decisions for small-group reading instruction in Being a Reader. You’ll leave this session with the knowledge and resources to engage in data and grouping conversations with K–2 teachers.

SESSION 4: Coaching for Intentional Planning for Collaborative Literacy in Grades K–6: Unit/Set, Week, Day

October 23, 2018

Learn about the intentional way that Collaborative Literacy programs support instructional planning and why the supports matter. You’ll leave this session with a deeper understanding of planning for lessons and a planning tool to use to coach teachers as they engage in intentional planning across the programs in grades K–6.

SESSION 5: Coaching to Maximize Collaborative Literacy Instruction in Winter/Spring

January 29, 2019

Examine the status of your Collaborative Literacy implementation, reflect on professional learning needs, and plan for winter and spring. You’ll leave this session with the resources to delve into professional learning that focuses on facilitation, assessment, conferring, and instructional decision-making.

SESSION 6: Voices from the Field: Collaborative Literacy Coaching Plan

May 1, 2019
4:00–5:00 PM Eastern Time

In the final session, coaches in the field will share their Collaborative Literacy coaching plans to help you reflect on your own coaching plan. You’ll leave this session with new ideas about what a Collaborative Literacy coaching plan might look like in 2019–2020.
