Since 1980, the nonprofit Center for the Collaborative Classroom has been on the forefront of partnering with schools to integrate rigorous academic learning and social development, first as a research organization and now as a provider of curricula and professional learning. Our decades of research and classroom practice have taught us that students engage and learn most effectively in caring school communities with strong peer and student-teacher relationships.

Every day, more than 2 million students in more than 4,500 schools experience Collaborative Classroom’s research-based, award-winning curriculathat fully integrate academics and social development. Students in these classrooms are succeeding academically and developing vital social skills and SEL competencies that will serve them throughout life. They are becoming independent learners and critical thinkers, strong readers and writers, and ethical people who care for one another.
