Brent Welling

Brent Welling has over 20 years of management experience in the technology and financial services industries. Prior to joining Center for the Collaborative Classroom, Mr. Welling was the CFO at FirstREX, a private equity firm in San Francisco. Prior to joining FirstREX, he was vice president of finance and planning for QRS, Inc., where he led all finance, strategic planning, and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to QRS, Mr. Welling was employed at the Pacific Telesis Group. He started his career in management consulting at McKinsey & Company and later at Marakon Associates. He has also been involved in the nonprofit sector, having provided consulting services to nonprofit organizations in education. Mr. Welling currently serves on the board of directors for the Berkeley East Bay Humane Society. He holds an MBA and a BS in engineering from Cornell University.
