Brian Heger

Brian Heger is a Manager of Educational Partnerships serving the Bay Area and Northern California. He has more than 15 years of experience in education and began his career as an ESL teacher, teaching in the United States, South America, and Asia. Since then, he has held leadership roles spanning instructional design, program implementation, operations, and educational partnerships.

Before joining Collaborative Classroom, Brian partnered with school and district leaders across California at Lexia Learning, supporting their literacy and language priorities through curriculum solutions and professional learning grounded in the science of reading. He later served as Managing Director of National Program Growth & Impact at Leading Educators, where he helped district leaders identify opportunities to strengthen instructional systems and develop professional learning and implementation strategies aligned with their goals.

Brian earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics and History from Indiana University Bloomington. Based in Oakland, he is committed to helping educators access high-quality instructional resources and professional learning that strengthen teaching and expand opportunities for students.
