Chavaughn Brown

Chavaughn Brown is the CEO of AppleTree Institute for Education Innovation, where she leads efforts to expand access to high-quality early learning through innovation and evidence-based practice. AppleTree, based in Washington, DC, operates a network of public preschool campuses and publishes Every Child Ready, a research-based instructional model implemented in a variety of early learning environments nationwide. Dr. Brown oversees AppleTree’s applied research, professional learning, and curriculum publishing work, including the national expansion of Every Child Ready as a high-quality instructional material (HQIM). Her work centers the experience of educators to improve outcomes for young children across diverse settings.
