Katherine Newman

Dr. Katherine “Kit” Kincaid Newman received her BA from Carleton College, her MAT (Teaching of English) from University of Chicago, and her PhD (Teacher Education; Reading) from Ohio State University.
Dr. Newman has worked as a lecturer at the College of Education at California State University at Sacramento, teaching graduate courses in Language and Literacy and undergraduate and credential courses in reading. She is the co-author of the SIPPS program with the late Dr. John Shefelbine.
