Individualized Daily Reading

books on shelvesFor students to develop a love of reading, they need daily practice. Access to extensive collections of high-interest fiction and nonfiction books makes it possible for all students to find and enjoy a variety of titles that fit their reading level. Help your students discover the joy of reading and create enthusiastic readers in your classroom!

The Individualized Daily Reading (IDR) libraries from the Center for the Collaborative Classroom can help you build a library of leveled fiction and nonfiction books to support daily reading practice, so students can read successfully for pleasure, information, or exploration. These libraries are recommended for the Making Meaning and Being a Writer programs and can help educators create a wonderful classroom library.
