Angela Flavin is a learning community leader for second- and third-grade classes at P.K. Yonge Developmental Research School in Gainesville, Florida. She has 18 years of experience working with elementary students as a classroom teacher, ESE specialist, and reading and math intervention teacher. Angela has a bachelor’s degree in speech pathology and audiology, a master’s degree in special education, and is currently working on her doctorate, also focusing on special education. In addition to her instructional duties, Angela serves as a mentor for preservice teachers undergoing their internships and for teachers looking to better understand how to best implement a curriculum.
