Karen Ladinsky is an Educational Consultant with The Center for the CollaborativeClassroom. She has over 30 years of experience in public education, serving as a classroom teacher, adjunct professor, school and district-based literacy coach, and Reading First Professional Development Regional and Resource Coordinator.Karen holds a B.A. in Public Relations/Journalism from Auburn University, and aM.A. in Elementary Education from The University of Central Florida. Karen has written and facilitated professional learning at the local, state, and national levels. She has worked with the Florida Center of Reading Research, writing assessment passages for the revised Florida Assessments for Instruction in Reading, and formative assessment tasks forFlorida’sEnglish LanguageArts FormativeAssessment System. Her passion is writing, supporting both teachers and students as they come to know the power they possess at their fingertips.
