Melissa Tovaas

Melissa Tovaas is a regional director at Center for the Collaborative Classroom. She has a BS in Elementary and Special Education from SUNY Geneseo with a focus on Human Development. Melissa began her 15-plus years in education as an elementary school teacher and has continued her work with schools nationally through literacy leadership positions with educational publishers. In her role at Center for the Collaborative Classroom, Melissa works with school districts and after-school programs to support educators with best practices in teaching and learning, with the ultimate goal of building safe, caring, and collaborative classrooms.
