Paula Kavalec, MEd, joined Collaborative Classroom in 2022 as Colorado Manager of Educational Partnerships. Paula began her career as a Title One Interventionist in Canon City, Colorado after raising three children as a stay at home mom and military spouse. Her family relocated to Colorado Springs, Colorado in 2011 and she taught second, third, and sixth grade social studies. Paula’s passion was rooted in developing close and lasting relationships and she was driven to have a deeper impact in education through administrative leadership. Paula earned her principal licensure and second Master’s degree in educational leadership through the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.
Her administrative career began in a small rural school in Peyton, Colorado. Falcon Elementary School of Technology was a “small community with a big heart” and Paula served as dean of students, assistant principal and principal for the past four years. Paula continues her commitment to ensuring that all students become critical readers, writers, and thinkers through supporting and empowering teachers with the tools for success.
