Reconnecting and Rebuilding Toolkit, K–6

Whether schools plan to reopen with in-person, blended, or fully remote learning, we can expect that students will carry a heavy emotional load when they return. Educators must be prepared to support students, many of whom have experienced trauma, and to rebuild their learning communities. Concrete tools and resources will be required to do this vital work.

The Reconnecting and Rebuilding Toolkit provides robust guidance for supporting students returning to the classroom (whether in-person or virtually) after an emergency, a series of Class Meetings, and recommendations for preparing for remote learning in a variety of circumstances.

The Toolkit is designed to help all K–6 educators as they reconnect with students and establish the safe, supportive learning context in which their students can thrive.
