Reconnecting and Rebuilding Toolkit, K–6

Research has shown that nurturing strong relationships and fostering a sense of community are essential to healthy development and learning for our students. The Reconnecting and Rebuilding Toolkit is a concrete, easy-to-implement resource for all K–6 teachers who are doing this important work.

Here you will find guidance for supporting students returning to the classroom after an emergency, a series of developmentally appropriate Community Chats (K–1) and Class Meetings (2–6), as well as guidance for how to prepare for remote learning (if necessary) in a variety of circumstances.
