SIPPS Certification Courses

Scale Your Impact with SIPPS Certification Courses

Whether you are a SIPPS® educator aiming to advance your career by mastering SIPPS instruction or you are an implementation leader looking to empower your educators to develop others and sustain SIPPS organization-wide, we have an educational pathway for you.

Educator Certification Course (August 2025)

This asynchronous, self-paced course is designed to prepare educators to teach the SIPPS program. Upon completion of this 8-module course, educators will be awarded a course badge and certified as a SIPPS Educator. Educators will need access to SIPPS program materials and the Learning Portal to engage in the course activities. Graduate course credit is available (for a fee) through an affiliated university. 

The SIPPS Educator Certification Course is aligned with the scope, sequence, instructional materials, and guidance of SIPPS, Fifth Edition. 

Course Outline (Approximately 18–24 hours)

  • Module 0: Welcome and Overview of the Certification Pathway
  • Module 1: SIPPS Program Overview
  • Module 2: Placement and Grouping
  • Module 3: SIPPS Beginning Level
  • Module 4: SIPPS Extension Level and SIPPS Plus
  • Module 5: Optimizing SIPPS Instruction – Data-Informed Strategies
  • Module 6: SIPPS Challenge Level
  • Module 7: Correction Routines
  • Module 8: Putting It All Together

The cost of this course is $400 per educator.

For Educators Using Third and Fourth Edition SIPPS:

To fully engage in the course, 3e/4e users will need access to select Fifth Edition à la carte items, including:

  • Challenge Vocabulary Supplement (grades 2–12)
  • 5e Handheld High-Frequency Word Cards (for one level)
  • 5e Handheld Spelling-Sound Cards (for the same level)


Trainer Certification Course (January 2026)

The SIPPS Trainer Certification Course prepares instructional leaders to facilitate professional learning that supports sustained, organization-wide SIPPS implementation. This intensive one-week course combines five live sessions with self-guided coursework. Certified Trainers will receive a course badge, membership in an online trainer community and gain access to a curated set of facilitation resources including:

  • Getting Started with SIPPS
  • SIPPS Lesson Structure and Routines
  • Guided Practice
  • Responsive, Data-Informed Decision Making
  • Accelerating Achievement

The SIPPS Educator Certification Course is aligned with the scope, sequence, instructional materials, and guidance of SIPPS, Fifth Edition. Certification is valid for two years, with a renewal course required to maintain certification. Graduate course credit is available (for a fee) through an affiliated university.

Course prerequisite: SIPPS Certified Educator badge and signed certification agreement.

  • Day 2: Facilitation Simulation + SIPPS Lesson Structure and Routines

  • Day 3: Facilitation Simulation + SIPPS Guided Practice

    • PM: Self-Guided Course Work 
  • Day 4: Facilitation Simulation + Responsive, Data-Informed Decision Making
    • AM: Live Session
    • PM: Self-Guided Course Work 
  • Day 5: Culminating Assessment + Accelerating Achievement
    • AM: Live Session
    • PM: Self-Guided Course Work 

The cost of this course is $2,500 per educator. 
The renewal course cost is $200 per educator every 2 years.
