SEEDS of Learning Certification Courses

Deepen Expertise, Maximize Impact with SEEDS Certification

The integrity and impact of the SEEDS Professional Learning Framework for 3- to 5-year-olds depend on thoughtful, consistent implementation. SEEDS Certification equips your educators with the expert understanding and practical mastery needed to bring the framework’s evidence-based practices to life.

For a highly scalable solution for SEEDS training, we offer a two-tier model that allows educators who complete the Certified Educator course to continue on to learn how to lead SEEDS training as a Certified Trainer.

Graduates receive a résumé-ready badge, with optional college credit available through Northwest Nazarene University (NNU).

Level I:
Certified Educator

Develop Educators’ SEEDS Expertise

Designed for both new and experienced users of the SEEDS 3- to 5-Year-Olds, this course builds a deep knowledge of best practices and the science behind it.

With Certified SEEDS Educators, you gain:

  • Boosted Educator Confidence: Educators gain deep expertise in both the content of instruction (Early Literacy Predictors) and the nature of adult–child interactions (SEEDS Qualities), leading to highly intentional teaching.

  • Site-Wide Consistency: A unified approach across all classrooms ensures every child receives the same high-quality instruction.

  • Documented Gains in School Readiness: Powerful implementations drive significant gains in early literacy and social skills, directly contributing to organizational goals.

Level II:
Certified Trainer

Empower Staff to Train Other Educators

Prepare in-house leaders to provide professional learning that fosters consistent, high-impact implementation of the SEEDS 3- to 5-Year-Olds Framework.

With Certified SEEDS Trainers, you gain:

  • Cost-Effective Professional Learning: Certifying internal trainers allows you to deploy high-quality SEEDS training on demand and at scale, reducing your reliance on expensive external consultants and recurring fees.
  • Sustainable Quality Assurance: Internal trainers provide ongoing guidance, preserve framework integrity, and build staff capacity that lasts.
  • Ongoing Support through the SEEDS Trainer Community: Certified Trainers gain access to an exclusive network of SEEDS leaders for support, resources, and collaboration.

This course sets the stage for high-quality early childhood experiences for children in a way that will support their ability to learn and grow with the help of a SEEDS quality educator!  Children will get the foundational literacy skill exposure they need and feel respected and capable – the ripple effects of starting in preschool feeling this way benefits them in school and beyond!
